Before You Decide

What is a chiller and which businesses need one?

A chiller is a closed-circuit cooling system that keeps machines and processes at a controlled temperature using water or glycol. It is a prerequisite of production quality in plastics, food, chemicals, metal, concrete and pharmaceutical plants.

How is the right capacity determined?

Capacity is determined by an engineering calculation of machine heat load, ambient temperature, duty time and industry. Oztek performs this calculation and the on-site survey free of charge.

How is chiller capacity calculated?

Practical formula: Q (kW) = Debi (m³/h) × ΔT (°C) × 1,163. For unit conversion, 1 kW is roughly 860 kcal/h. For an exact figure, send us your process data — we do the capacity calculation free of charge.

Will energy consumption be high?

With the right capacity and efficient components, chiller systems run on modest energy; an incorrectly sized system is the biggest hidden cost.

Do you provide spare parts and service support?

Since we build with global brands such as Bitzer, Danfoss and Copeland, we provide long-term spare parts availability and technical service support.
